What our Guests say about us

"Quiet Gem!"
We arrived very late (11pm) but our hosts, Manfred and Helga, kept the lights on and the door open. They were very flexible with accommodating our early request for breakfast. The house was beautiful with hardwood floors and recently renovated bedrooms and bathrooms, lovely bar with German draft beer and a fireplace. The dining room was so spacious, it seemed more like a restaurant than a B&B, but then they do serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, and can host weddings and other large gatherings. Had we known, our group, who was going to Ruthven Park the next day, would have all stayed there. It was perfect for a family reunion. Soccer fields adjoin the property. There were well-tended flower beds and plenty of space to walk or play.
Our bedroom had a queen-sized bed and a double pull-out couch on which our children slept. The room also had a bar fridge and satellite television. Wifi was available but we forgot to ask for the code. The bathroom, right next door, was so big it could have been used as another bedroom! There was a shower, jacuzzi bathtub, quiet-flush toilet and double sinks. We were in awe! The only negative was that the taps in the bathroom were very difficult to turn on.
Breakfast started with yogurt and fresh orange juice, then continued with our choice of main. We had eggs and the children had waffles with the *best bacon ever*! (They get their meat from a neighbour across the street. If it hadn't been Sunday, we might have stopped in to get some to take home.) We were also served hot toast, sliced meats and cheese. Helga makes delicious streusel and other German pastries. It was unfortunate that we couldn't have stayed longer to sample more food.
For our purposes, the location was perfect because it was a 5 minute drive to get to Ruthven Park. The B&B is just outside of Cayuga rather than in town, which meant there was perfect quiet and absolutely no noise! This was a welcome respite from being in the city. However, we rated it a 4 because it is isolated.
All-in-all we would definitely stay here again without a second thought.

"Very welcoming owners and comfortable stay"
We stayed at the Broechler Inn on Thanksgiving weekend (in between celerations). We got there a little late (8.00 pm), but the owner was waiting patiently for us. The room was spacious and comfortable (king sized bed). Totally fell in love with the renovated washroom! It had huge widows overlooking the country and a telescope to watch the stars! The washroom had everything we needed, right down to the Aveeno body wash and Q-tips!
Breakfast was absolutely delicious and more than we expected. (an added plus was that they had a high chair for our little daughter).
All in all, I would highly recommend the Brochler Inn.
